IMiA21 Virtual invites abstract submissions for poster presentations

All abstracts must follow the instructions listed below and be submitted online by midnight (AEST), Friday 20 November 2020. Please note that the closing date for submissions will not be extended and will only be accepted if the presenting author has registered to attend the Conference.

Awards and CPD Points

IMiA21 Virtual Poster Idol for Registrars

Pitch your poster at IMiA21 Virtual! Registrars* can nominate themselves during the submission process to be included in the brand new IMiA21 Virtual Poster Idol competition.

Authors of accepted abstracts will be allocated 5-minutes to present their work in one of the dedicated Poster Idol sessions. After all finalists have presented, delegates can then vote for their favourite poster.

The person with the most votes from delegates will be announced the winner at the Conference and will receive a complimentary registration to IMiA23!

*To be eligible to enter the Poster Idol, you must be a registrar with the RACGP, RACP or RANZCP.

CPD Points

RACGP

IMiA21 Virtual will be submitted for RACGP CPD points approval for the 2020-22 RACGP CPD Program. The outcome will be published here once available. For further information please contact gpsi@racgp.org.au.

RACP MyCPD

This event can be claimed under MyCPD Category 1: Educational Activities at 1 CPD credit per hour (maximum 60 credits per year). If you have further category enquiries, please contact the CPD Unit – myCPD@racp.edu.au.

RANZCP

For members of the RANZCP this conference can be reported under Section 4.1, accredited group learning. For any further information please contact - cpdhelp@ranzcp.org.

Abstract Submission Details and Conditions

  • All abstracts are to be submitted via the Conference submissions page.
  • All abstracts and presentations must be submitted in English.
  • Abstracts must not exceed 250 words (excluding the title, authors and affiliations) and follow the instructions within the abstract submission portal.
  • Abstract title and author information is not to be included in the body of the abstract.
  • Multiple abstract submissions are permitted.
  • There is no fee for submitting an abstract.
  • The abstract should be organised under the following headings:
    • What? (Why is this of interest to IMiA21 Virtual attendees? Summarise your topic/ case)
    • When/Where/Who? (Context of topic e.g. population, location, timeframe etc.; or, patient details, conditions, related factors etc.)
    • How? (Method/ Strategy of what was achieved or what was undertaken)
    • Learnings/ Results (Summary of 2 – 3 takeaway messages)
  • Abstracts must be submitted by midnight AEST, Friday 20 November 2020, for consideration by the Committee. Authors will be notified of the acceptance of abstracts by Mid-December 2020.
  • For an abstract to be formally accepted and included in the program, the presenting author must be registered to attend the Conference
  • All authors of the abstract grant exclusive permission to IMiA21 Virtual to record the audio and video portion of their presentation at the Conference, and to collect and retain all revenues from all rebroadcasts (including web broadcasts), sales and publications of such recordings.
  • Submission of the abstract constitutes consent of all authors of the abstract to publication (e.g. IMiA21 Virtual website, programs, other promotions).
  • All authors of the abstract warrant and represent that they either are the sole owners of, or have all necessary rights to, sublicense all the information and content in the abstract provided to IMiA21 Virtual organisers, and that publication of the abstract does not infringe any rights, including but not limited to, intellectual property rights, or of any third parties.
